Volunteer Fire Company of Center Brunswick

Welcome to Center Brunswick Fire Company

The Volunteer Fire Company of Center Brunswick is one of five fire departments serving the Town of Brunswick. The Town of Brunswick is located in upstate NY, Rensselaer County. Our fire district is comprised of rural character with a heavily traveled state highway.

It is our mission to provide a comprehensive emergency service designed to enhance our community through fire prevention, public education, and emergency response. The members of the fire company are dedicated to protecting life, property, and the environment.

Friendly Reminder!

For those of you that like to get your Holiday decorations up before the first big snow ( we know your looking forward to that as well) We would like to remind you about using ladders safely, and always using proper electrical lead cords designed for the manner in which you will use them ( ie. exterior, all weather, and proper gauge).

Change Your Clocks & Batteries

Remember when you change your clocks, it is time to change the batteries in your smoke detector and CO alarm!! They may save your life someday!

Clean Your Chimney

Tuesday, September 30, 2014  Are you ready for the change in weather? Be sure to have your chimney and fire place cleaned and inspected by a certified retailer. Also have your furnace cleaned and serviced to be sure it is ready to heat your home when necessary! Don't forget NYS "Amanda law" requires a CO detector in all one and two family dwellings, the NFPA recommends CO Alarms be installed in a central location outside each sleeping area and on every level of the home!

Never Forget

In a few days it will be the 13 years since the attacks on September 11,2001.

SGT.John McLoughlin of the Port Authority Police Department, was the last survivor pulled from the rubble of the World Trade Centers this is what he had to say, "9/11 showed us what human beings are capable of. The evil, yeah, sure. But it also brought out the goodness we forgot could exist. People taking care of each other for no other reason than it was the right thing to do. It's important for us to talk about that good, to remember. 'Cause I saw all of it that day."

Let us Never Forget the brave souls lost on that fateful day.
