Welcome to Center Brunswick Fire Company

The Volunteer Fire Company of Center Brunswick is one of five fire departments serving the Town of Brunswick. The Town of Brunswick is located in upstate NY, Rensselaer County. Our fire district is comprised of rural character with a heavily traveled state highway.

It is our mission to provide a comprehensive emergency service designed to enhance our community through fire prevention, public education, and emergency response. The members of the fire company are dedicated to protecting life, property, and the environment.

Delta Traffic Accident

On Sepetember 6th at 2024hrs the fire company was dispatched mutual aid with EMFD to a traffic accident with unknown injuries.  Upon arrival of Eagle Mills Car-3 he notified dispatch of 1 vehicle accident into a tree with serious injuries.  Rescue-7, Car 1,2 and 3 responded from CBFC assisting with patient care, traffic control, and the Landing Zone for Life Net 7-1. Great job to all involved with the accident. 


   


 

Busy start to 2016

As of 2-22-2016 the fire company has been very busy with 54 Calls to service already this year.  This message was sent to our company e-mail and we would like to share it:

Town of Brunswick Hydrant Flushing

Friday, September 18, 2015  ATTENTION RESIDENTS!

HYDRANT FLUSHING
TOWN OF BRUNSWICK

The Town of Brunswick will be flushing hydrants from October First until October Ninth. Please expect discolored water during this time. At all times the water will be safe to consume and use for bathing. It is recommended you do not do white washing, without first running the water to determine it is clear. Any discolored white wash can be rewashed in IRON OUT available in most dry good stores. The following is an estimated schedule.

OCTOBER 1st

SYCAWAY AREA- South of Hoosick Road and East to McChesney Avenue

OCTOBER 2nd

SYCAWAY AREA – North of Hoosick Road and East to McChesney Avenue, North Lake Avenue and North Forty Development

OCTOBER 5th

North Lake Avenue from Liberty Road to Route 142, Route 142 and Route 7 and the Spring Brook Development.

OCTOBER 6th

Route 7, Route 278 to Route 2, West to Eagle Mills

OCTOBER 7th

Pinewoods Avenue to Mountain View Area

OCTOBER 8th

Route 7 from McChesney Ave East to Route 142





   


 

Center Brunswick Awarded AFG Grant!

The fire company is proud to announce that we have been chosen as a recipient for the FEMA Assistance to Firefighters grant. These awards are extremely competitive and a very small percentage of applicants are awarded. These funds will be used to replace equipment that has met its manufactured life expectancy and will help supplement the operating budget without putting an undue hardship on taxpayers.


   


 

Child Passenger Safety Seat Check

Monday, August 3, 2015 2:00 P.M. The Center Brunswick Fire Company will be hosting a Free Child Passenger Safety Seat Check conducted by the New York State Police, Rensselaer County Law Enforcement Association, Rensselaer County Sheriff's Office and Safe Kids NY on Monday August 3, 2015 from 2:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. at the Fire Station 1045 Hoosick Road, Troy, NY 12180.
